I’ve spent over 13 years building and tinkering with computers, but I’ve also spent the last 4 years working in retail right here in North Carolina. During my time working in an electronics department, I noticed something frustrating: technology is moving so fast that many people, especially seniors, feel left behind. I've seen so many people feel overwhelmed picking out a new PC, or even scared that they'll 'break' something just by setting it up. I started Crenshaw Tech Care to change that. I believe tech should be a tool that helps you stay connected, not a source of stress.
Every project I take on is a one-on-one experience. I don't just 'fix and leave'. I sit down with you to ensure you're comfortable with the solution, understand how your devices work, and feel confident using them once I'm gone. You get my full attention and a patient, steady hand until the job is done right.
Computers & Laptops: Speeding up slow devices, removing "junk" software, and setting up new PCs or Macs. I can also build a custom PC for you!
Printers & Scanning: Set-up new printers/scanners, or fixing those "Offline" errors once and for all and making sure you can print from your phone.
Phones & Tablets: Organizing apps, securing accounts, and teaching you "shortcuts" to make staying connected easier.
Tech Tutoring: Tutoring sessions for new phones, computers, TVs, or software, including Microsoft Office (and other free alternatives).
TV & Sound Systems: Setting up Roku, Apple TV, or Smart TVs, and making sure your sound system actually works with your remote.
Home Network & Wi-Fi: Troubleshooting "dead zones" and making sure your internet is fast in every room.
Digital Organization: I can help you organize your home screen and apps so your phone feels less cluttered, or help with unwanted spam in your email.
Photo Backup and Security: Helping you make sure your photos and data are protected in the cloud.
Desk & Cable Management: I'll untangle that "spiderweb" of wires under your desk and organize your workspace so it's clean and safe.

The "Process"
The Call: We talk about your problem over email (preferred) or the phone.
The Visit: I come to your home at a time that works for you.
The Solution: We fix the issue together, and I make sure you're comfortable using everything before I leave.
If I arrive and determine that your device is beyond repair or not worth the cost of fixing, I won't charge you for a 'repair.' Instead, we'll pivot that time into a Consultation. I’ll give you my expert recommendation on what to buy next, ensure your data is safe, and help you find the best deal on a replacement that fits your needs.
If I can't find a solution or path forward for your problem,
you don't owe me a dime. It's that simple.
I believe everyone should have access to reliable technology, regardless of their budget. I strive to keep my rates affordable, especially for those on a fixed income, because I know how important it is to stay connected with family and friends without breaking the bank.

Hardware & Parts
To keep my rates low, I do not carry a markup on hardware. If your project requires new parts (like a replacement hard drive, a new router, or cables) I will provide an expert recommendation and a clear quote for the cost of the part. You simply pay for the hardware at cost, and I’ll handle the installation and setup for you.
